Ok here it is…our first, somewhat belated entry into the big wide world of blogging - adding our mark to the other 112 million or so in existence.
After putting the world to rights with our friend Charlie Hoult (of Loewy fame, serial entrepeneur, curator of castaway and father of opencast.com), we found a topic for us to get our teeth into and have a go writing about - our young(ish) friend, Pop-Up Marketing.
Ok, so the subject itself is nothing new. People have written about it. Lots. A click here and there show bloggers more experienced than me already enjoy recording and sharing their views on the topic: the eagle-eyed people at Trend Forecasting or PSFK or GDR to name a few.
But hey, I shouldn’t let that stop me. With a little help from the other designers, writers, thinkers and doers at our agency, hopefully over time I can make The ODD Occasion a half decent online resource for pop-up marketing. A reference point, an alternative view, a source of inspiration, a scrap book, a diary, a place for discussion and all those other good things that todays Blog should be.
